Ski Area Kaunertaler Gletscher
Here you will find fun in the snow for everyone: Snowboarders, skiers, carvers, racers, sun seekers... The glacial ski area offers 9 lift systems and 36 km of piste. Powder snow and deep snow slopes invite to ski the Kauner Valley mountains. The wide and even steep runs are ideal for beginners. More experience however is required for the freerider areas, such as the Weißseejoch 1 and 2. The ski area Fendels offers its guests 16 km of pistes, including family-friendly as well as challenging runs, a mogul piste, a children's playworld, a snowboard arena and cosy huts and restaurants to turn-in. The area is easily manageable and therefore well suited for families. Well-exercised skiers will find numerous deep powder snow slopes to run riot on. In the Kauner Valley freestyle sport is tradition: The Kauner Valley Glacier was one of the first ski areas, that offered special facilities for snowboarders. Today there is a permanently maintained snow park with rails, tables, boxes, kickers, quarterpipe and half-pipe available there, which is also known to be one of Europe's best snow parks.
