Ski holidays Kufstein – Cultural hotspot in Tyrol!

Kufstein

Kufstein, with close to 18,500 residents, is the second-largest city in the state of Tyrol. The location is a very popular travel destination, and second-to-none with its picturesque Low Inn Valley, in which Kufstein nestles into. The Kaiser mountains provide a grand panoramic view and the Inn river rushes through the middle of the city. Numerous monuments and buildings that emphasize the historical significance of the location form the cityscape. The town's history can be seen practically on every corner. Probably the most famous monument in Kufstein is the Roman alley, found in the old city and made known to the world through the song "Perle Tirols", or "The Pearl of Tyrol". The charming street train takes you by many traditional shops and public places, which make a stroll through the city that much more special.

Also worth seeing is the Kufstein fortress, with its tower perched on top of a hill from which you can look out over the city. Thanks to this imposing landmark, Kufstein is also known as "the fortress-city". The structure classifies as well as an important historical monument in Tyrol, which is accordingly worth seeing due to its architecture, and the museum that lies within. Fine glass blowing originates in Kufstein as well, being home to the world famous Riedel glass manufacture. Visiters can go inside the glassworks and follow along with the formation process of wine glasses. Finished glasses can be found in the attached shop, ready to be brought home as mementos.

When leaving Kufstein, you can reach access points to other ski areas in no time, all of which are in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental.

Kufsteinerland

Kufsteinerland is located in Tyrol, near the Bavarian border. Its close proximity to the Kitzbühel Alps, the Kaiser Mountains and the Bavarian Alps allows seemingly endless ski fun. The Kufstein region, together with the stronghold town Kufstein, are both influenced by tradition and a unique landscape and offer cultural variety. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Kufsteinerland has quite a bit more to offer in order to ensure a perfect holiday experience: from cross-country skiing to winter hikes to ice skating, your imagination knows no limits. Dog-sledding provides a particularly special experience.
