Ski Area Hochkönig
The lift pass "Ski amadé" gives you access to a jaw-dropping 860 kilometres of piste and 270 lifts (see ski region). One lift pass which allows you to use the piste in the regions "Salzburger Sportwelt", "Schladming-Dachstein", "Gastein", "Hochkönig " and "Großarltal". You will definitely get your money’s worth here! The ski area in Hochskönig is particularly well-known for its good levels of snow. 150 km of well-prepared pistes and 34 modern lifts are available at the child-friendly ski area. The hardest piste is the 3.5 km long Mühlbacher Ost descent. However, there are more challenging slopes at Aberg-Langeck (1.900 m), but beginners get to join in the fun here, too. In the snow park at Aberg with quarter pipe, half pipe, slides and jumps there are great chances to get some free-riding in. The 8 person gondola, Kings Cab, which was put into operation in 2008, has replaced two drag lifts and makes the connection between the pistes much more convenient. Additionally, there is a ski bus that runs between the individual areas and is free to all lift pass bearers.
