Ski Region Pitz Valley
Pitz Valley ski fun consists of the family-friendly ski area Hochzeiger at the valley entrance, the sporty Rifflsee area and the famous Pitztal glacier. With a total of 100 km of piste over 1,450 - 3,440 m, 21 lift systems ensure an unforgettable day's skiing. The underground "Pitz-Express", the world's fastest glacier "underground" follwed by the highest cable car in Austria, the "Pitz-Panoramabahn", take you up to the seemingly endless glacier areas at the Hinterer Brunnenkogel at 3,440 m. This is the highest point in Austria, which can be accessed by lift system and only the Wildspitze (3,774 m), Tyrols highest mountain, towers above this point in the background. The challenging ski area Rifflsee hold intermediate and difficult off-piste opportunities available around the Grubenkopf. The ski track to the Pitz Express offers an easy transition to the glacier ski area Pitztal. At the entrance to the Pitz Valley lies the third ski area, the Hochzeiger. This area presents itself as family-friendly and very balanced: Whilst the little ones are minded in the Zeigerrestaurant, adults and teens can ski the sunny and wide pistes at the Sechszeiger or the more challenging runs at the Rotmoosbahn. No matter whether ski routes, mogul pistes, racing or chronometry slopes - here there is something for everyone!
