Cross-country Itter
Cross-country fans will definitely get there money's worth in Itter and Hopfgarten. In Itter you will find 12.5 km of trails as well as 3 km of skating tracks, Hopfgarten has 22 km of tracks. The Penning trail alone is 11 km long and of intermediate difficulty. The possibilities for cross-country skiing is ideal for beginners due to easy to intermediate trails, also there is the opportunity for taking cross-country skiing lessons. A further 27.5 km of cross-country ski track are available in Söll - imposing panorama views included! Ellmau offers 13.5 km of track, including the 10 km long Kaiser track. In total the region Wilder Kaiser - Brixenthal has 200 km of trails to offer, including a high-altitude track at Brixen and flood-lit tracks at Scheffau. Additionally, at Ellmau you have access to the 225 km long "Koasaloipe" - for additional fun! A special highlight is the cross-country ski centre in Angerberg/Mariastein which offers you 40 km of perfectly prepred trails, located peacefully and including a night trail. Not least is the connection to the track network at St. Johann and Kitzbühel, which ensures that Nordic fans will always have a large selection!
