Ski Area Skischaukel Berwangertal
With the "Top Snow Card" lift pass you have access to 10 ski areas with a total of 215 km of piste and 87 lifts, including among others Garmisch-Patenkirchen on the German side of the boarder and Lermoos, Ehrwald and Mittenwald in Austria (see ski region). Berwang, the highest resort in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena offers 35.4 km of piste and 11 lift systems due to its interconnection. Here you can leave the little ones to roam without actually loosing them out of your site from the hotel's terrace. The sunny location on the alpine transition between the Zugspitze and the Lech Valley is breathtaking. The especially popular Sonnenalm lift really lives up to its name and offers not only challenging pistes for wide carving swings. Snowboarders can experiment on the 80 m long half-pipe at the Hönig lift. Additionally you will find high snow security, pistes directly in front of the door, deep powder snow runs and winter hiking trails. Those who also lay emphasis on family-friendliness, have made absolutely the right choice with the Berwang Valley. It not surprising that this sunny corner is not a secret any more.
