Bohemian Forest: The Bohemian Forest is a mountain chain which spreads across 200 km along the Czech and German boarder. Although it is geographically only one mountain range, depending on the region and political boarder line, it is named differently: On the German side it is called Bavarian Forest, in the Czech Republic it is Šumava and in Upper Austria it is named Bohemian Forest. The numerous small ski areas all have their very own character. This means you have a huge choice to pick from. Generally you will find soft hills and ski kindergarten for the little ones, but also more challenging pistes which take you through wonderful forest landscapes.
