Ski area Region Berchtesgaden

The "Berchtesgaden Region" serves its guests with six ski areas, which are united in the ski pass of the same name: Around 50 kilometres of pistes between 630 and 1,800 m altitude, 30 lifts and the modernised Jennerbahn cable car can be skied to your heart's content!

The cosy slopes at Hochschwarzeck are ideal for families. Floodlit fans have the opportunity to enjoy themselves until the evening hours on the Rossfeld! The 6 km long valley run there (ascent to Rossfeld included 1 x p. day) to Oberau is also wonderfully suitable for beginners due to its easy level (can only be skied when there is sufficient snow). The boarders' scene meets at Götschen, where the snow park is located.

Thanks to their World Cup-suitable slopes, among other things, the ski areas around Königssee enjoy an international reputation as venues for world championships in snowboarding as well as in tobogganing and bobsleighing! And the Zinken ski area even offers you the chance to hit the slopes in neighbouring Austria.

Night skiing Ramsau

In Germany, many skiers are drawn to the slopes for night skiing when selected slopes in some ski areas are lit up for night skiing. Around Ramsau, too, some night skiing areas in the Berchtesgaden region start operating on certain dates. For example, in the Rossfeld ski area, the approximately 1 km long piste at the Großer-Lift drag lift is opened for night skiing every Wednesday from 18:00 to 21:00. In the Götschen ski area, the night ski run at the Götschenkopfbahn 3-seater chairlift is open for night skiing on Fridays between 18:00 and 21:00. Here you can even set off for evening skiing on around 1.8 kilometres of illuminated piste.

Après ski Ramsau

In Ramsau you can relax after an eventful day on the slopes during a winter hike or in one of the cafés or restaurants. A horse-drawn sleigh ride through the wintry national park to feed the game is also an experience (start at the Hintersee national park information point). Those who like a bit more action should try the Hirscheckblitz natural toboggan run at Hochschwarzeck. Over a length of 2.2 km, 400 metres in altitude are conquered.

All in all, the Berchtesgadener Land offers something for every taste: sociable evenings in a mountain hut are just as possible as a romantic evening for two. The bars are the place to go to celebrate and the restaurants entice you with an excellent culinary offer. In addition, numerous activities are offered such as winter hikes, torchlight hikes and guided excursions through the magnificent landscape around the Watzmann. With the Berchtesgaden Region ski pass, you can also use the winding toboggan run on the Obersalzberg, which is easily accessible by cable car, free of charge (weather permitting). Reduced admission is available at the Watzmann Therme, where you can relax on 900 m² of water and with various treatments.

Snowpark: Snowpark Ski- und Snowboardzentrum Götschen Ramsau

The Berchtesgadener Land offers all activity and fun sports fans, no matter if winter or summer, the best possibilities to really let of steam. The "Ski and Snowboard Centre Götschen" is to be found approximately 8 km from Ramsau. Here you can practise alongside the winter sports elite and copy some of their moves. Racing pistes and a snowboard paradise round off the offer and tempt you to try some jumps, or dive into deep, powder snow and really enjoy yourself.

Those who'd rather not like to take the risk can better participate in the many ski and snowboard events in the neighbouring resort Berchtesgaden as a spectator. During spectacular races and freestyle competitions, the scene's pros and experts can prove their skills to their admirers. If you like the taste of adrenaline, then you are absolutely right in Berchtesgadener Land!
