Ski area Südtiroler Wipptal

The lift pass "Südtiroler Wipptal" give you access to the Rosskopf, Ladurn and Racines-Jaufen/Kalcher Alm ski area with a total of 63 diverse kilometres of piste. The connected ski area is located on heights between 948 and 2,120 m and is counted among the most modern ski areas in Souther Tyrol with a very high certainty of snow. The 8-person Racines-Jaufen gondola, which has only stared its service a few years ago, and 12 further lifts easily and comfortably move you through the ski area Racines-Jaufen, another 11 lifts also give you access to the other ski areas. The three snow parks in the ski areas are a special highlight for all snowboarders. Beginners and professional boarders will have lots to do on kickers, rails and tables. For younger snowboards there is a funslope in Racines-Jaufen. Free riders will especially in enjoy the Ladurns ski area which awaits with wonderful deep snow routes and an approx. 4.2 km long valley run. Small skiers will not miss out on anything either: a ski kindergarden, a beginner's area and a children's magic carpet are available in the Rosskopf ski area. You will find pistes of all levels of difficulty, so all skiers will get their money's worth.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

In order to ensure safety on the ski pistes in Italy, new safety regulations will come into force from 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Après ski Racines

Numerous huts spread across the entire ski area ensure that you don't have to go hungry and have a good time. After the lifts have closed, the "Stub'n Après-Ski" at the valley station invite for a social evening. Further après ski parties can be found in Sterzing, about 5 km away. If you prefer to have a more quiet evening, how about a winter hike on one of the perfectly prepared winter hiking tracks to enjoy the clear mountain air?

Snowpark: Funpark Racines

Right next to the 4-person chair lift Enzian lies the "Funpark Ratschings", which is certainly one of the highlights in the ski area Racines-Jaufen. The quality-assured obstacles were designed by the QParks-Team and offer set-ups for all levels. A total of 17 different elements wait here for beginners and pros alike. Beginners can practise at the moderate wave lines, the braver boys and girls among you can try the jib line and for the really high jumps, there is the pro area with a kicker line. Here you're not only in for a great deal of fun but also for some excellent professional training possibilities. The "Dynamite Park" with its approx. 2,000 m² large terrain, is equally ideal for beginners and experts.

If you're not quite ready to brave the snow park but don't want to miss out on the fun, then the fun slope is made for you. It has diverse playful snow elements, e.g. the popular "snail", and the moderate slope gradient is suitable for all skiers.
