Heavenly (Lake Tahoe)

Heavenly is the most popular winter sport area in Lake Tahoe. It is enchanting due to its unique panorama of the clear, deep blue lake. Heavenly is centrally located on the south bank and is not just a first class because of this, but also because it is an ideal base to discover the magnificent ski area around the lake. Shuttle buses run to Squaw Valley, Sierra at Tahoe or also Kirkwood. On the Nevada side of Heavenly, you can enjoy the fantastic pistes during the day, try your luck in the many large casinos in the evening or even stay out until the wee hours in the night clubs or restaurants!

Lake Tahoe

The region around Lake Tahoe is among the most beloved winter sports regions in the USA and offers the largest concentration of ski and snowboard resorts in all of North America. The most famous among them are: Heavenly, Squaw Valley, Kirkwood, Sierra at Tahoe, and Northstar at Tahoe. The picturesque Lake Tahoe, with the breathtaking Sierra Nevada Mountains in the background and 250 days of sunshine per year, offers a spectacular backdrop for a first-class winter experience. Lake Tahoe is located on the border of Nevada and is only 300 km away from San Francisco. It is situated 1,896 m above sea level, is 35 km long and 19 km wide, and with that is the largest mountain lake in America. The average depth is approx. 300 m. During winter, the water temperature is a constant 3.8° C so that the lake never freezes!
