Location and facilities
The comfortable 4-star Hotel The Excelsior is situated in a quiet location in the resort of Arosa, about 300 m away from the centre. The Arosa ski area can be reached after about 1.5 km with the hotel's own shuttle or with the public ski bus, of which stops just about 200 m away from the accommodation. When snow conditions allow it, ski-in to the accommodation is possible and a cross-country trail can be accessed after about 3 km.The stylish accommodation is furnished with a hotel hall with reception and welcome area, lift, Wi-Fi, lounge, restaurant "Montanara" and "Bündnerstübli" as well as the bar "1822". Parking spaces, as well as a public parking garage, are limited and can be used for a fee (no reservation possible).
The approx. 250 m² spa area with indoor pool, Finnish sauna, organic sauna, steam bath, sanarium and relaxation room invites you to relax free of charge. You also have the option to play billiards or rent out Nordic walking poles (upon availability).

The rooms, which are furnished with Mediterranean colours, all have a bath or shower/wc, cable TV, telephone, Wi-Fi, radio, safe, hair dryer, mini bar (for a fee) and a balcony.Board

Reductions
- All persons in the Double room, shower/wc, HB receive the following reduction:
- until (incl.) 5 years 25%
- 6-12 years 15%
- 13-17 years 10%
The exact amount of the reduction will be shown after an offer has been prepared (click on desired price).
The percentage of the reduction applies to the entire basic per person price including the accommodation and lift pass price.
Babies younger than 24 months of age at the time of travel tend to travel for free (providing there is nothing else written in the accommodation description), but they must be listed on the booking confirmation.

How does one best travel to Switzerland? Among the nearest airports are Zurich, Basel, Sion, and Bern. Depending on the destination, Friedrichshafen, Milan, or Innsbruck are also feasible. The distances from the different train stations and airports to the resorts are shown above the map. Those travelling by car will find a link to a route planner in the lower lefthand corner of the map. Simply enter your origin location and a route will be calculated for you. Please note, that it is wise to be informed about the closure of mountain passes during the winter months! Please also take into consideration that your car is required to be equipped for winter conditions, and that you will need snow chains with you.
