About us

TravelTrex GmbH was founded in Cologne in 1999 and initially specialised in the sales of winter sports holidays with its core brand SnowTrex. Within a few years, the company developed into Germany's largest tour operator in this segment and still holds this position to this day.

Since 2005, SnowTrex holidays have also been marketed internationally. After successfully entering the Polish market, France and Great Britain followed, and then 15 other markets. Nowadays, our offers are available for customers in a total of 13 languages. This makes TravelTrex one of the leading international tour operators for winter sports. Over time, the company has also gained long-standing partners such as Urlaubspiraten, Urlaubsguru, weg.de and Snowtimes.

Building on this successful strategy, the summer brand HolidayTrex was launched in 2007 with its main holiday destinations in the Alps and on the German and Polish Baltic coasts. More than 100,000 satisfied customers travel with TravelTrex every year. After 25 years since the company was founded, this means a total of well over 1 million travellers to date!
The team
Our team now consists of over 120 employees from 15 nations, including numerous trainees and students in an integrated degree programme. TravelTrex GmbH has already been honoured several times as a training company, including by the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Köln). The company is currently training young people in the fields of tourism, IT and business administration.

The SnowTrex Concept

SnowTrex holidays are characterised by simplicity and clarity and thus meet the clear customer demand for individuality and service. A high standard that is emphasised by our complete packages, which include not only accommodation but also the lift pass and can be freely tailored to the customer by booking extras such as ski lessons or ski hire. In addition, most of the 2,000 accommodations in the 500 bookable resorts offer several room options to choose from, making the SnowTrex product attractive to a broad target group. The establishment of needs-based travel categories such as family, wellness or luxury holidays also allows each customer to customise the offer to suit them even more.
