Ski holidays Hintertux – Ski holiday in Austria's only year-round ski area!
Hintertux
The small resort of Hintertux lies at an altitude of 1,500 m and is especially known as the valley station of the Hintertux Glacier ski area. The massive Tuxer Ferner glacier, on which you can ski along well into the summer, forms the valley run into the Tuxer valley at the back of Zillertal. Hintertux itself, with its ideal location at the foot of Austria's only year-round ski area, is the perfect holiday destination for winter sports fans who are looking to spend their time being active or relaxing while being surrounded by breathtaking Alpine landscapes. Snowshoe hiking, tobogganing, a ride along the Zillertal Railway and, of course, the glacier with its cave access, panorama terrace and ice palace provide guests with plenty of nature-based experiences. Hintertux belongs to the district of Tux with its districts Vorderlanersbach, Lanersbach, Juns und Madseit, all of which are shaped by tourism and provide many leisure time activities. From Tux and Finkenberg, you even have access to the Ski- und Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000 ski area.Zillertal
The Zillertal – or, as it is secretly known, the "most active valley in the world" – lies in the heart of the popular province of Tyrol and borders South Tyrol to the south with the Zillertal Alps. The possibilities in this relatively flat valley seem endless: approx. 541 kilometres of pistes and guaranteed snow up to 3,250 metres – welcome to the Zillertal! The Zillertal Superskipass is valid for all kilometres of pistes in the Zillertal, Gerlos and Tuxertal valleys as well as on the Wildkogel. A free ski bus connects the valleys so that you can fully enjoy the variety of pistes.Travel Hintertux
