Surrounded by a breathtaking mountain world and snow-covered pastures, the cosy little village of Laterns lies in the depths of the Vorderland-Feldkirch region at 921 m above sea level. Populated by alpine dairymen and farmers who cultivate their alpine pastures in the surrounding area of Laterns, the result is a sensuous, picturesque landscape. Nature lovers will find varied hiking routes and numerous vantage points here. In addition to hiking and skiing routes all the way to Furx, the village of Laterns offers a toboggan run that is particularly suitable for families and is located right next to the valley station of the Laterns-Gapfohl skiing area. Toboggans can be rented directly at the valley station. Those who are more keen to get on their skis have the opportunity to explore the Laterns-Gapfohl ski area with its five lifts and 27 kilometres of pistes. At altitudes ranging from 1,040 m to 1,785 m, winter sports enthusiasts of all abilities can enjoy the slopes. At the end of a varied day of skiing, those who like to celebrate will either find themselves in bars or end the evening in a cosy local pub.
