Location

The family-friendly Chalets & Camping Hochoben camping site are situated approx. 280 m away from the centre of Mallnitz. The Ankogelbahn cable car, which is approx. 5 km away, will take you to the ski area. A practice lift for ski beginners is just outside the door. Cross-country skiing trails are in close proximity. Ski buses stop right at the door. Shuttle service can get you to the train station.

Facilities

The campsite is divided into a north and a south section. The main building is situated in the centre and houses the reception, a guest fridge, a restaurant, toilet and shower facilities, drying rooms for ski clothing, washing machines and a small shop. The chalet area is situated slightly away from the campsite, on a hill in a car-free zone (loading and unloading is permitted). There are parking spaces on site – subject to availability.

Children

The Chalets & Camping Hochoben has a children's corner. Cots are provided for a fee, high chairs can be used free of charge (upon request and availability).

Entertainment

From 19 December 2026 to 27 March 2027, you will receive free entry to the Tauernbad Mallnitz, including the sauna area (see information on site). Courses such as cross-country skiing (once a week) and snowshoeing are also offered at regular intervals. During your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to hire a sledge – subject to availability.

Board

Meals not included. If you wish, you can make use of a bread roll service on site or, if you book a chalet, add a breakfast service to your booking.
