Location and facilities

The comfortable 4-star Hotel Margarethenbad is idyllically situated on the edge of a forest about 5 km from the centre of Winklern. The ski bus (for a fee) stops approx. 500 m away and takes you comfortably via Winklern to the Heiligenblut ski area, approx. 27 km away.

Facilities at the rustic hotel include a reception with lobby, lift and Wi-Fi, luggage storage, lounge, breakfast room, restaurant, bar and a ski room with ski boot dryer. There are also free parking spaces at the hotel (subject to availability).

You can use the hotel's 150 m² spa area (opening times according to the notice board on site) for a fee. It has a sauna, infrared cabin, steam bath, hot tub, heat cabins as well as a Finnish sauna, solarium, rock grotto and various beauty and massage treatments.

Board

The half-board included in the holiday price includes a rich breakfast buffet and a 3-course menu of your choice in the evening. A children's menu can be prepared on request. There are also regular themed evenings.

Important notes

  • No lift pass voucher is issued for children up to and including the age of 9. When accompanied by a parent, children from 5 to 9 years of age receive a "Schneemannkarte" (lift pass), which is payable on site at €9.50 per child per day. The children's rate applies for children travelling alone (e.g. for ski lessons). Children under 5 years are free of charge. Further information is available at the lift ticket office.
  • When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with additional beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
