Location

The family-led 4-star Romantikhotel Metzgerwirt hotel is situated approx. 190 m away from the centre of Zell am See. You can access the ski area by taking the cityXpress gondola lift approx. 500 m away, or the Schmittenhöhebahn cable car approx. 2,6 km away. Ski buses stop within about 250 m. The next public transport stop is about 350 m away, the Zell am See railway station can be reached after approx. 550 m. There is a shuttle bus going to the railway station. There is also a shuttle service to the CityXpress mountain railway station.

Facilities

This traditional hotel has an attached building, the Landhaus. Our hotel features various facilities, such as a reception, Wi-Fi on the entire premises, a common room, a lift, a hotel restaurant and a hotel bar. Guests can store their ski and snowboarding equipment in a ski storage room with a ski boot dryer. Drivers can use a parking lot (for a fee) - subject to availability.

Spa

The spa area, covering approx. 600 m² across two levels, is the perfect place to relax. Here you will find a clothing-required sauna area (14:00 – 20:00) featuring a sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin and a relaxation lounge with waterbeds. Another wellness facility available to you is an ‘Adults Only’ sauna area (4.00 pm – 8.00 pm) featuring a Finnish sauna, a Swiss stone pine bio-sauna, a salt-cleansing steam bath and an infrared cabin. Here you’ll also find an adventure shower, a water fountain and a relaxation area with loungers. Inside your accommodation, there is a heated indoor pool measuring around 24 m² and a hot tub (07:30 – 20:00). The outdoor pool, which is approximately 54 m² in size, heated and connected to the indoor pool (16:30 – 18:00), is also one of the house’s amenities. Beauty treatments and massages are available for a fee. Bathrobes are available on site (for hire). Opening hours and validity periods are subject to conditions.

Board

The half board plus catering plan includes a buffet style breakfast (07:30 - 10:00) with cold and warm options as well as a wholesome food assortment. In the afternoon (16:00 - 17:00) guests can treat themselves to Jause (a traditional cold snack). At dinner, our cooks put together a 4-course menu of choice with a salad bar. There is a children's menu at dinner. You are invited to join our gala dinner served 1 x a week. In addition, culinary delights await you at the barbecue (weather-dependent), at the farmer's buffet and at the italian dinner. A Christmas gala is held at Christmas (24.12.), on New Year's Eve there is a festive dinner Gala. On request, we also serve lactose-free dishes, gluten-free, vegetarian as well as vegan (for a fee) alternatives.
