The Giant Mountains (650 - 1,312 m) offer a total of 54 km of pistes in Špindlerův Mlýn (Spindler's Mill), Harrachov, Pec (just below the Snow Top) as well as Janské Lázne and Rokytnice nad Jizerou. The degrees of difficulty reach from easy to challenging, whereby the majority of the pistes are red. 57 lifts can be taken to the peaks, from which you can enjoy a wonderful descent back down into the valleys. A 6 km long downhill ski route with a beautiful panoramic view of the Sněžka (Snow Top) starts in Pec. All pistes end in one central point, which is especially why families value this ski area.

Harrachov is the most well known ski area due to it's ski-jump at the Certova Hora (Devil's Mountain). Perfectly equipped with modern snowmaking systems, a fun park with a super pipe and floodlit pistes, you are sure to have fun on the 8 km long pistes! The most popular winter sports resort is Špindlerův Mlýn (Spindler's Mill) where you can even find two ski areas. Connected by a ski bus, the two areas each offer 8 km of pistes with wonderful descents through forests. The highest alpine ski pistes of the region can be found around Rokytnice nad Jizerou (8.4 km of pistes). Free riders should be warned: as the Giant Mountains are a national park, leaving the marked pistes can be an expensive amusement!
