Location and facilities

The unique Riessersee Hotel Garmisch-Partenkirchen is located in a quiet area right next to Lake Riessersee, offering magnificent panoramic views of the Alpspitze and Waxenstein mountains and a stunning view of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which is about 2.5 km away. The lift is about 3 km away, and the cross-country ski trail is only about 500 m away. The family-run hotel consists of the main building and the Seehaus, which is located directly next to it.

The amenities of this picturesque hotel include a reception area, a lobby with Wi-Fi, a lift, a reading and TV room in the bar, a breakfast room, a dining room, a restaurant, a bar, a café, a terrace and a winter garden.

The approx. 1,000 m² spa area with indoor pool, sauna, Finnish sauna, organic sauna, steam bath and relaxation room ensures daily moments of relaxation and well-being. For a fee, you can visit the beauty centre or enjoy a massage.

There is also a fitness room, darts (for a fee) and a toy rental service for the little ones. Free parking spaces and a paid parking garage are also available (subject to availability).

When you pay the visitor's tax, you will also receive a guest card, which entitles you to a number of attractive inclusive services and discounts for the duration of your stay (see information on site, changes and restrictions to services subject to change).

Important notes

  • Use of the spa area is permitted from the age of 14 and the indoor pool from the age of 2 only when accompanied by an adult.
  • No lift pass voucher is issued for children aged 5 or under (at time of departure); they receive a free lift pass when accompanied by their parents. However, as part of ski lessons, they require their own valid lift pass (payable on site, further information is available at the lift ticket office).
  • When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with additional beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
