Ski area Brauneck-Wegscheid

With the "Alpen Plus" lift pass, you have access to a total of 83 km of piste and 47 lifts. The pistes are spread out over four ski areas: Brauneck-Wegscheid, Wallberg, Spitzingsee-Tegernsee and Sudelfeld.

At the local ski area of Lenggries, "Brauneck-Wegscheid", you can choose from 32 km of piste. This ski area is perfect for families, yet offers something for experts as well - the ski area does have a World Cup run, after all! Its notorious starting slope on the Garland is known for its moguls and poses a challenge to even the most experienced skier. Families, on the other hand, prefer the 6 km long family run starting at the lift's mountain station and descending towards Wegscheid.

The 2019/20 season saw the inauguration of another state-of-the-art lift, the "Schrödelsteinbahn", which replaces the aging "Finstermünz" 2-person chair lift. This made it possible to open up a part of the ski area that had previously been difficult to access while at the same time securing the existence of idyllic alpine pastures. Brauneck now has 1 gondola lift, 4 chair lifts, 10 tow lifts and 21 groomed pistes: 3 easy, 14 medium, 4 difficult. Snowmaking has been extended to the "Kapellenhang" run, which is also accessed by the new "Schrödelsteinbahn" lift. This means that the entire descent of the beautiful sunny slope towards Finstermünzalm is now snow-sure, and it has been possible to increase the snow-covered surface in the entire ski area to 70%!

A highlight awaits the youngest winter sports fans: In the "Villa Lustig", kids can really let off steam. The children's area is 20,000 m² in size and even has its own snowmaking system. Just a few steps away from the central entrance to the ski area, children are introduced to skiing in a playful way. Incidentally, you can also learn under prominent guidance at Brauneck: Michi Gerg runs his own ski school here.

The approx. 500 m blue piste has soft waves and easily manageable for beginners and children. A tow lift takes you to the start of the night ski piste. Après ski Lenggries

The cosy ski huts in Lenggries are especially well-known for their culinary delights, which is why "hut-hopping" takes place quite often during the day in the ski area. Winter sports fans can round off their day here with great food in one of many numerous restaurants.

Those looking for nightlife will benefit from the central location of the resort. Take a trip to the approx. 9 km distant Bad Tölz, where you're sure to find a few bars to your liking. Or head to Munich (approx. 60 km), where you can experience an unforgettable night.

You can also consider taking an excursion from Lenggries during ski-free days and afternoons. For example, visit the Benediktbeuren cloister (approx. 23 km), Tegernsee (approx. 26 km), Innsbruck (approx. 85 km), Garmisch-Partenkirchen (approx. 58 km) or the Andechs cloister (approx. 75 km).

Those who prefer to stay in the resort will also find an equally large variety of leisure time activities. You could, for instance, check out the two toboggan runs on the Brauneck, or discover the natural surroundings along one of the 42 possible km of winter hiking trails – a particularly nice view can be found along the panorama trail on the Brauneck. Those who prefer to take things slow or are looking for a romantic atmosphere can consider a horse-drawn sleigh ride for their method of transportation. Ice skating can also be enjoyed in the natural ice stadium right at the valley station of the lift. The evangelical Waldkirche church also has 6 curling rinks available to use. For an even more relaxing experience, visit the "Isarwelle" pool or the sauna landscape in the "Isargrotte".

Snowpark: MINI Snowpark Lenggries

There may not be a fun park in the Brauneck ski area, but with the "Alpen Plus" lift pass, you can use a real hotspot of the German freestyle scene: the "MINI Snowpark" on the north slope lift in the "Spitzingsee-Tegernsee" ski area. Snowboarders and freeskiers of all skill levels are offered an interesting and varied programme here: The obstacles include 6 to 8 kickers, 5 rails, 3 boxes, a wave run and several jib barrels. The music station with hut ensures a good atmosphere even off the piste.

The "MINI Snowpark" is one of the three best snowparks in Germany for a reason: professional snowboarder Konstantin "Konsti" Schad, for example, grew up at Spitzingsee and learned to snowboard there.
