Ski area Brauneck-Wegscheid

Ski area Brauneck-Wegscheid

With the "Alpen Plus" lift pass, you have access to a total of 85 km of piste and 53 lifts. The pistes are spread out over 4 ski areas: Brauneck-Wegscheid, Wallberg, Spitzingsee-Tegernsee, and Sudelfeld.

In "Brauneck-Wegscheid", the local ski area of Lenggries, you have the choice between 34 km of piste and 21 lifts. The ski area is perfectly designed for families, although experts will also find their place amongst the pistes. At the very least, the ski area has a World Cup run. Its notorious starting slope on the Garland is known for its moguls and poses a challenge everyone, even experienced skiers. Families should look to the 6 km long family run from the mountain station of the gondola down to Wegscheid.

Thanks to the "Milchhäuslexpress" 6-person chair lift, winter sports fans can make their way quickly, safely, and more comfortably to the family-friendly pistes on the southern side of the Brauneck. A conveyor belt lift with automatic lift table allows even the smallest skiers to start comfortably. Several times per week, skiing can be enjoyed will into the night on the Brauneck thanks to its illuminated piste on the Streidlhang slope, which is open until 22:00.

A highlight awaits the youngest of winter sports fans: in the "Villa Lustig", children can really let loose, as this children's area is 20,000 m² large and even offers artificial snow-making facilities. Just a few steps away from the ski area's central access point, kids can have fun while learning how to ski. By the way: you can also be taught by a celebrity on the Brauneck: Michi Gerg runs her own ski school here.

Night skiing Lenggries

At Streidl lift in Lenggries is a small but nice night ski area. In the valley area of Brauneck-Wegscheid ski area, night skiing takes place up to 4 times per week. One slope is illuminated by a dozen floodlights at the foot of Brauneck mountain. Like this, you can extend your fun in skies during the extended operation hours from 19:00 to 22:00. The approx. 500 m blue piste has soft waves and easily manageable for beginners and children. A tow lift takes you to the start of the night ski piste. For a stop after night-time skiing, you will find cosy huts nearby the valley station, so that you can extend your skiing fun until late in the evening.

Après ski Lenggries

The cosy ski huts in Lenggries are especially well-known for their culinary delights, which is why "hut-hopping" takes place quite often during the day in the ski area. Winter sports fans can round off their day here with great food in one of many numerous restaurants.

Those looking for nightlife will benefit from the central location of the resort. Take a trip to the approx. 9 km distant Bad Tölz, where you're sure to find a few bars to your liking. Or head to Munich (approx. 60 km), where you can experience an unforgettable night.

You can also consider taking an excursion from Lenggries during ski-free days and afternoons. For example, visit the Benediktbeuren cloister (approx. 23 km), Tegernsee (approx. 26 km), Innsbruck (approx. 85 km), Garmisch-Partenkirchen (approx. 58 km) or the Andechs cloister (approx. 75 km).

Those who prefer to stay in the resort will also find an equally large variety of leisure time activities. You could, for instance, check out the two toboggan runs on the Brauneck, or discover the natural surroundings along one of the 42 possible km of winter hiking trails – a particularly nice view can be found along the panorama trail on the Brauneck. Those who prefer to take things slow or are looking for a romantic atmosphere can consider a horse-drawn sleigh ride for their method of transportation. Ice skating can also be enjoyed in the natural ice stadium right at the valley station of the lift. The evangelical Waldkirche church also has 6 curling rinks available to use. For an even more relaxing experience, visit the "Isarwelle" pool or the sauna landscape in the "Isargrotte".

Snowpark: MINI Snowpark Spitzingsee Lenggries

While there is no fun park in the Brauneck ski area, there is still one hotspot of the German freestyle scene that belongs to the Alpen Plus connection: the "MINI Snowpark" at the Nordhang lift in the "Spitzingsee-Tegernsee" ski area. Snowboarders and free skiers of all ability levels will find an interesting and diverse programme available: of the obstacles present, there are 6 to 8 kickers, 5 rails, 3 boxes, and several jibs. The music station with various huts provides for a great atmosphere even off the piste.

It's no wonder the "MINI Snowpark" belongs to one of the top three snow parks in Germany: professional snowboarder Konstantin "Konsti" Schad, for example, grew up in Spitzingsee and learned how to snowboard there.
