Ski holidays Anterselva - Downhill and cross-country skiing fun!
Anterselva
In a small side valley of the Puster Valley, the Antholz Valley, Antholz stretches across the three districts of Niedertal, Mittertal and Obertal between 1,109 and 1,530 metres above sea level. This idyllic region is an ideal destination for those seeking peace and quiet, for passionate cross-country skiers, but also for skiers and snowboarders who enjoy the view of the mighty 3,000-metre peaks of the Rieserferner Group. The picturesque Lake Antholz (1,642 m) at the end of the valley is what makes this place so special. In winter, its cross-country trails offer cross-country skiers in particular a winter sports experience against a dreamlike backdrop. The annual Biathlon World Cup competitions attract a particularly large number of enthusiasts of the narrow boards. Thanks to its proximity to the Plan de Corones ski area with its 121 kilometres of slopes, alpine skiers also feel at home here. Beginners and families can take the Riepenlift for their first descents right in the village. Away from the slopes and trails, the valley offers further opportunities to enjoy the white splendour – whether on extensive snowshoe hikes through the snow-covered forests and meadows of the Antholz Valley, on a horse-drawn sleigh or ice fishing at the idyllic fish pond in Antholz-Niedertal.
Plan de Corones
At the foot of the Plan de Corones (2,275 m), in the centre of the picturesque Val Pusteria, are 14 diverse and attractive South Tyrolean villages. Modern gondolas start from various stations and speed up to the peak, from which imposing 360-degree views unfold. Diverse sporting events take place here on a regular basis, e.g. the Val Pusteria ski marathons including the Valle di Casies run, the biggest sporting event in South Tyrol. 121 kilometres of piste, approx. 31 modern lifts, a half-pipe, as well as ample recreational and sporting opportunities and lively après ski ensure a good deal off piste! This ski area is also great for families, thanks to numerous facilities such as the "Croniworld".Travel Anterselva
