Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
In order to ensure safety on the ski pistes in Italy, new safety regulations will come into force from 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.Après ski Velturno
Apart from skiing, Velturno and its neighbouring communities offer a wide range of winter leisure activities. Alone ice-skating is possible on five different natural ice rinks in the town's area. How about a round of skittles before dinner?Several providers, such as the sports club in Verdings provide this and billiards is available as well.In Velturno's sourrounding areas, several mountain pastures, such as the Villanderer Alm, the Kühberg or the Jochalm offer a total of eight natural toboggan runs to which it is easy to ascend for families with children. There are three different lengths which are mostly easy and huts along the way invite for a break.
If you prefer to explore the winter landscape on foot, the Velturno and Latzfonser Alm offer three marked snowshoe hiking tracks. The routes are marked in different colours and measure between 9 and 15 km. But the Eisacktal can also be explored without snow shoes - several routes and circuits lead through mountains and valley all around the Völlnösser Alm, Rosskopf Alm, etc.
