Ski area Lavarone

The "Folgaria-Lavarone" lift pass gives you access to well-maintained ski areas in the "Skitour dei Forti" ski carousel with around 100 kilometres of piste. On the Alpe Cimbra plateau, the family-friendly areas extend over several mountain ridges around the villages of Lavarone, Folgaria and Luserna.

The entrance to the Lavarone ski area with approx. 30 kilometres of piste is located in the Lavarone-Bertoldi district. From here, the 3-seater chair lift takes you up to Tablat, from where the main blue and red "Tablat" descent branch off. Via the neighbouring mountain Ust and past the pretty mountain lake in Malga Laghetto, further lifts lead to the highest point of the ski area in Lavarone at Virgo Maria at 1,700 m. The 2 km long black "Avez del Prinzipe", one of the most beautiful pistes in Trentino, starts here. It was named after a 300-year-old, 60-metre-high silver fir tree that towers close to the piste. The "Neveland" welcomes the next generation of skiers and you can stop for refreshments in one of the rustic wooden huts at the edge of the piste.

The free ski bus takes you to Folgaria, approx. 15 km from Lavarone, and thus to the Folgaria-Fiorentini ski area. Here, another 70 km of pistes await skiers of all abilities. In Folgaria, the Costa, Francolini, Fondo Piccolo, Fondo Grande, Malga Ortesino and Serrada areas form a ski carousel to which the Fiorentini ski area is connected. The descents are mainly of intermediate difficulty, but there are plenty of pistes for beginners and pros alike. At 3.1 km and a difference in altitude of 350 metres, the Serrada is the longest descent in the ski area and is very suitable for beginners. The Fondo Grande (Martinella Nord) is considered the most difficult descent and offers 1.6 kilometres of thrills even for experienced skiers.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.5 per mille or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Anyone who does not comply with the helmet requirement will be fined or banned from the slopes.

Après ski Lavarone

In addition to skiing, there are many other activities for guests in Lavarone. Have fun with family or friends skating on Lake Lavarone and on the snowtubing track near the ski area. You can explore the region's 200 km of hiking trails on a snowshoe hike or a long walk with or without a mountain guide, while a 700-metre-long toboggan run in the Bertoldi district will make tobogganers' hearts beat faster. The ski area also offers Europe's first winter disc golf park and the opportunity to go snow biking - pure winter fun guaranteed!

A dozen restaurants and pizzerias cater for your physical well-being in the evening and night owls can extend the sociable evening late into the night in the cosy bars and two discos. Group entertainment is provided by the bowling alley or the small casino, and there is also a cinema, a theatre and a sports hall. Snowpark Lavarone: Mazinga Park

In Folgaria-Lavarone, two snow and fun parks await budding and experienced freestylers alike: in Folgaria, the "Mazinga Park" impresses the shred community. The park with beginner lines is accessible via the Cengio Rosso chair lift and can be mastered by brave beginners. Small jumps and boxes such as a 6 m waves box, a 5 m wall, an 8 m kinky box, a 4 m wood and kids box or a 9 m mammoth box fill a 550 m long piste and offer a suitable introduction to the world of freestyling. There is also a smaller snowpark at the Cargaore lifts.
