Cross-country Naturno

Information on cross-country skiing

15 km Cross-country trails (in km):

The cross-country skiing region of Merano extends over altitudes from 274 m in the valley to over 3,000 m. On the Schnals Valley Glacier there are three cross-country trails with a total length of 15 km. The challenging Hochjoch high-altitude trail leads over the glacier massif at 3,050 m - the Hochjoch I over 7 km, the Hochjoch II over 5 km. The Lazaun cross-country ski trail in the valley near Kurzras is relatively easy to run and leads over 3 km past the Lazaun Hut.

Those looking for more variety will find other beautiful trails in and around the surrounding ski areas. For example, there is a 3 km long circular trail at the Merano 2000 ski area. It starts at the Falzleben valley station at 1,640 m and leads through the Hafling/Falzleben plateau.

The panoramic trail in the Schwemmalm-Uttental valley, on the other hand, has only a small difference in altitude, but is an impressive 25 km long circuit. Pfelders (17 km) and the two trails on the Vigiljoch plateau (9 km each) also offer attractive alternatives.
