Ski area Val di Fassa-Carezza

Ski area Val di Fassa-Carezza

The home ski area of Vigo di Fassa is Ciampedie, with 14 km of piste up to an altitude of 2,040 m. With the lift, the ski area is easily reached from the resort and draws you in with its easy and moderate level pistes. Families will especially appreciate this easily navigable ski area, of which also offers a Babypark and the ski school Vigo di Fassa, where kids can spend the day having fun under careful supervision.

With the "Val di Fassa-Carezza" lift pass, you gain access to a total of 114 km of piste and 59 lifts between altitudes of 1,200 m and 2,625 m with a selection of areas to choose from such as Alba, Canazei, Campitello, Karersee, Pozza, and Vigo. Here, you can expect to find numerous freeride and deep snow areas as well as an emphasis on moderate runs. Skiing pros can take on the black pistes such as the famous "Tomba" on the Ciampedie and illuminated pistes fans will definitely get their money's worth at Pozza.

With the Dolomiti Superski lift pass (available as an upgrade, for a fee) you gain access to a whopping 1,200 km of piste and 450 lifts in 12 ski areas (see see region)! Also belonging to the lift pass is the Sellaronda, where your day can be spent riding around (via skis and lifts) the 40 km of piste of the Sella-Massif, starting directly in the Fassatal. For snowboarders, large snowparks can be found in the areas of Alpe Lusia-Bellamonte and Belvedere, and a funpark with boardercross can be found in the Col Rodella.

Night skiing Vigo

Quite a few ski areas in Italy offer the possibility to go night skiing after the mountain railways' regular operation hours. The ski area Val di Fassa-Carezza is one of those night ski areas in which you can go skiing at night time. From Vigo di Fassa you can reach the Aloch piste in Pozza di Fassa within a few kilometres. Here, night skiing is possible every Wednesday and Friday from 19:30 - 22:00. The approx. 1.6 km is illuminated and comprises a red as well as a very demanding black section, which makes it suitable especially for experienced skiers. Countless competitions ins slalom, snowboarding and carving have taken place here, so that the piste is a popular training destination for professional teams. With a valid several-day lift pass (Val die Fassa-Carezza, Dolomiti Super Ski or Silver), the ticket for night skiing is free. Alternatively, an entrance ticket for night skiing can also be bought in resort.

Après ski Vigo

Apres ski atmosphere can be found here in the huts all day long. In the evenings, apres ski fans romp around in the bars and cafes of the resort. A disco can be found in Vigo, but for even more variety, head over to the neighbouring resorts of Campitello and Canazei, where numerous bars and discos invite you in to party all night long.

Worth recommending is a visit to one of the restaurants, where you can try out traditional Ladin cuisine with its light, yet flavourful dishes. A perfectly fitting way to round off the evening is to enjoy a glass of wine from the region at the same time.

Leisure activities in the Fassatal leaves no wish unfulfilled: Paragliding, hang-gliding, ice hockey, ice skating, bowling, squash, or - when you're feeling romantic - a horse-drawn sledge ride through the areas enchanting, wintry landscapes- the possibilities are endless! For a relaxing and rejuvenating time, a visit to the "Eghes-Center" in Canazei is worth the visit: the swimming pool was built to model a roman bath.

Snowpark: Dolomiti Park, Buffaure Snowpark, Morea Snowpark Vigo

A total of 6 freestyle areas - of which 5 are snowparks - can be found in the Fassatal: The Dolomiti Park in the Canazei Belvedere area, the Sanpe Snowpark (San Pellegrino Pass), the Buffaure Snowpark (in the ski area Buffaure), the Morea Snowpark (Alpe di Lusia Bellamonte), the Carezzer Snowpark (Karerpass) and the Lusia Boardercross (Moena - Alpe di Lusia). The Dolomiti Park, the Morea and the Buffaure Snowpark are especially easy to reach when heading out from Vigo di Fassa.

The Dolomiti Park (Canazei Belvedere) is the centrepiece with its high diversity. You can find a Boardercross run as well as a BigAirBag. Pro, medium, and easy kicker lines as well as a Jib area are waiting to be tried out. Freestylers can really let of steam on the fails, boxes and a corner jump.

the Morea Park also includes a Boardercross run, of which is complemented by several slope style lines, kickers, and a jib area with boxes, rails, and a wallride.

In Buffaure Park, you'll find diverse rails, kickers, boxes as well as a Pill-Tank.
