Ski area Schreiberhau

One of the most attractive and most popular ski areas in Poland is to be found in Szklarska Poręba (Schreiberhau). Although the resort and ski area are located not nearly as high as other European ski areas (peak of the Reifträger approx. 1,362 m altitude) the special micro climate provides snow conditions comparable to the Alps. The ski area is divided into two sections. Closer to the resort are the easier and less challenging pistes to be found, which are ideal for families with children. In total the ski area around the mountain offers approx. 12 km of pistes with easy to intermediate difficulty. The longest descent, the Lolobrygida (4,400 m) covers a difference in altitude of 637 m.

Night skiing Szklarska Poręba (Schreiberhau)

Like many ski regions in Poland, also the family-friendly ski area Szklarska Poręba (Schreiberhau) in the Giant Mountains offers night skiing. The night ski area is located in the lower area of Szrenica (1,362 m) and, as a blue piste, offers child-friendly skiing fun at night. The nice and broad valley run "Puchatek No. 4" is illuminated on 1.6 km down to the valley station. The piste is open daily from 18:00 - 22:00, which is how long the 2-person chairlift "Szrenica I" is in operation. The illuminated slope can be covered in artificial snow and offers young and old special skiing fun. With many visitors and sufficient snow conditions the ski area's operators also open further pistes for night skiing.

Après ski Szklarska Poręba (Schreiberhau)

In the closer surroundings of the valley station there are some pubs, which are good choice for receiving a tasty meal and some drinks for a good price. On resort there are various options to take par in Polish apres ski. This is however, hardly comparable to the Austrian version. People rather get together in the evening to relax and end the day easily. In the local pubs and discos however you can really get going on international music hits, which however are mostly translated into Polish. Apres ski on new level.
