Location and facilities
The family-run 3-star Hotel Sherlock Holmes is located quietly, approx. 500 m from the centre of Meiringen. The Meiringen-Hasliberg lift is only about 200 m away. Per request, you can use the hotel's own shuttle to/from the Meiringen train station for free.The cosy accommodation offers a reception, lobby, Wi-Fi, lift, dining room, restaurant and bar, a children's playroom, and a ski room. The hotel's own indoor pool (daily between 07:00 - 20:00) and the sauna (daily between 15:00 and 20:00, opening times subject to change) are free to use. Furthermore, table tennis and tabletop football can be played for free. Parking spaces at the house can be used for a fee.
In the time from 26/12/2018 - 06/01/2019, as well as from 02/02/2019 - 03/03/2019 every Friday there is a free-of-charge night skiing event which takes places between the Mägisalp and Bidmi (for all possessors of a multi-day lift pass). The toboggan shuttle from Meirigen to the Große Scheidegg can be used for free between 25/12/2018 - 07/01/2019 as well as from 03/02/2019 - 04/03/2019 (for all possessors of lift passes that are valid at least for 4 days). Additionally, there is toboggan hire at reduced tariff available at the Schwarzwaldalp. You will also receive a free "Welcome Lunch" in the mountain restaurant at Mägisalp or in the mountain restaurant Käserstatt. At the Mägisalp Berghaus there is also free rental of sledges possible (for all possessors of lift passes that are valid at least for 5 days).

Important notes
- Please note, that between the 25th and 31st of December 2017, the annual "Haslitaler Trycheln" takes place in Meiringen. The traditional, nocturnal processions may cause noise disturbance, depending on the location of your accommodation.
- Children aged 12 years or younger can use the lifts for free.
- When booking rooms with multiple or additional beds, there is no claim to the additional beds
