Location

The modern 3-star hotel, Chesa Surlej, is located approx. 1 km from the centre of Silvaplana. Access to the ski area is via the “Cristins” lift, about 100 m away, or the “Surlej-Murtèl” lift, about 400 m away. In addition, the "St. Moritz Bad-Signal" lift runs approx. 5.5 km away. Alpine skiers and snowboarders will find slopes almost right on the doorstep. Cross-country skiing opportunities are available on the network of trails at the same distance. Ski buses stop right outside the house. St. Moritz railway station is approximately 8 km away.

Facilities

Facilities at this sustainable hotel include a reception, Wi-Fi, a lift, a breakfast room, the hotel’s own restaurant and the “Alp 31” parlour. There is a terrace in the outdoor area. You can store your winter sports equipment in a ski/snowboard storage room. On site there are parking spaces and a parking garage (for a fee) – subject to availability.

The hotel is also part of the Swisstainable sustainability programme, which promotes sustainability in Swiss tourism. The accommodation also collects leftover soap and shower gel, which is channelled into important projects through its premium membership of the Fondation sapocycle.org.

Spa

The spa area features a sauna and a steam bath. You can also relax in the relaxation room. Massages are available for a fee. Bathrobes and slippers are available for hire on site.

Children

The children’s playroom offers age-appropriate entertainment for our younger guests. Cot beds are available for an additional charge; high chairs are included (on request/subject to availability).

Entertainment

The accommodation offers sports facilities such as a fitness room (approx. 20 m²).

For stays of 2 nights or more, you will receive a ticket for unlimited use of public transport in the region (20 November 2026 – 29 March 2027).

Board

When booking rooms on a half-board basis, board includes a breakfast buffet. In the evening, you will be served a four-course meal. A Christmas menu is served at Christmas. Vegetarian options are also available on request. The accommodation can also be booked with bed and breakfast.

Important notes

• This accommodation is not wheelchair-accessible.
• When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with extra beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
• Children under the age of 6 (at time of departure) can use the lifts in the ENGADIN St. Moritz Mountain Pool network free of charge, with the exception of the Aela, Cristins, Celerina Provulèr, San Spiert, Survih, Müsella and Bügls areas. In these areas, a lift pass may need to be purchased for children under the age of 6 (at time of departure). Further information is available at the lift ticket office.
• The keycard fee can be refunded when undamaged keycards are returned to the lift ticket office. Keycards must be returned within 72 hours of the lift pass expiry date.
