Ski area Glungezer

The "Glungezer" lift pass takes you up to an altitude of 2,304 metres in the ski area. With a total of 23 kilometres of pistes and many flat slopes, the ski area is particularly suitable for families with children. But ambitious skiers will also get their money's worth here: the Schartenkogel valley run in Tulfes offers 15 kilometres of fun on the slopes, making it one of the longest runs in Tyrol. There is also a 9 km long FIS downhill run with an altitude difference of 1,500 metres, as well as a fun park for freestylers to let off steam. Since the 18/19 winter season, the ski area has also offered a new 10-seater "Glungezerbahn I" gondola lift, which has replaced the 2-seater chairlift and guarantees easy access to the ski area.

At the summit, the ski area offers fantastic views over the Inntal valley and the surrounding peaks. On the descents, winter sports enthusiasts wind their way through wonderful natural landscapes, sometimes through small sections of forest. Several rustic mountain huts invite you to rest and relax.

Those looking for even more variety can take advantage of the "Ski plus City Pass" upgrade (see ski region).

Après ski Gnadenwald

There are no après-ski bars in tranquil Gnadenwald itself. The neighbouring villages such as Thaur, Hall and Fritzens also tend to be quieter. However, there are various cafés and restaurants in the area where you can round off your day's skiing in a very cosy atmosphere.

If you're still in the mood for some fun after a day on the slopes, you should head to nearby Innsbruck and try out the numerous bars there. There is a wide choice in Tyrol's capital, so everyone will find what they are looking for.

Another highlight in the area is certainly the Olympic bobsleigh run in Igls. Here, adrenaline junkies can experience a steep and speedy ride in a guest bobsleigh.

Snowpark: Jib-Park Gnadenwald

On the Glungezer, not only families but also freestylers get their money's worth: since winter 2011/12, there has been a so-called "jib park" here: adrenaline junkies can expect various obstacles that change their location several times during the season. The rearrangement constantly creates new combinations that fit perfectly into the given terrain. The variety means that both ambitious freestylers and those who want to become one can use the snow park. At the Glungezer Jib Fest in April, daredevils of all ages can put their skills to the test and compete with others.
