Ski area 4-Berge-Skischaukel

With the "Ski amadé" lift pass, you have the choice between 5 regions, 760 km of pistes, and 270 lift systems (see ski region). When leaving Gröbming, these areas are especially easy to reach: Pichl, with its Reiteralm ski area, and its 4-mountain-interconnected ski areas of the Schladming-Dachstein Region - Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm. Not only are numerous runs to be found here - including World Cup and WM runs, but also popular Funparks.

The ski area Hauser Kaibling containst 123 km of the best-prepared pistes for every level of difficulty as well as 15 rustic ski huts to check out. The ski area is not just the ideal access point to the Schladming 4-mountain-interconnected ski areas, but also brings you to a breathtaking panoramic view at its highest point- an altitude of 2,015 m. Beacuse of this, the ski area received for its second time in 2013 the "Europe's best ski area" seal.

A special highlight is the Audi-Kinderland, where the little ones can navigate around steady slalom poles, or show of their skills on the mogul pistes. A special atmosphere is created by the start house, the goal flags, and the goal arch, of which is reminiscent of the World Cup Runs, helping the children feel like their idols. "Alpine night owls" get together from Monday to Saturday at the Hochwurzen where a 3 km floodlight piste opens in the evenings.

Not just children will be getting their money's worth on the Hauser Kaibling. Next to wide, perfectly prepared pistes, two valley runs - one of which is the FIS World Cup Women's Run- buckle pistes, and powdery slopes make sure to provide fun for not just beginners but also experienced skiers.

Après ski Gröbming

At the end of your ski day, you can meet up, for example, at the umbrella bar on the Galsterberg near Pruggern. You can round off your day not just there, but also in the resort - places such as Tom's Bierklinik or the discotheque in the Gasthof Tunzendorferwirt are worth looking into. For those who prefer a quieter way to end the day, various restaurants and inns are available to enjoy.

Whoever prefers a more active afternoon can go take a hike- with or without snowshoes. Especially popular is one winter hiking trail in Pruffern, who edges display numerous, wondrous ice sculptures. Additionally, you can find a 5 km long, illuminated toboggan run in Pruggern as well, perfect for sledging fun in the evening hours. An ice skating rink can be found in Mitterberg.

For those who like their holidays especially adventurous should take themselves up to airy heights: Then, with the Stoderzinken zipline, race down from an altitude of 1,600 m at 65 km/h (approx. 40 mph) over a distance of 2.5 km. Relaxation is also possible during this racy tour, and best experienced in the Panoramabad Gröbming. Next to having fun in the pool, saunas and other wellness treatments are also available to take part in.

Snowpark: Snowpark Superpark Planai Gröbming

Freestylers in the Schladming-Dachstein region will really get their money's worth. A popular location, for example, is the Superpark on the Planai. Beginners, intermediates, and experts all have access to an equal amount of space, enough for everyone to let off steam - on the beginner, medium, and pro lines. A highlight is the pro - kicker line with tables between 12 and 17 m. 22 jib-elements such as rails, tubes, boxes, mushrooms, and tanks take care of providing enough variety. On the beginner line, newbies can take a crack at the smaller boxes and kickers.

The Reiteralm also has a fun park to show off as well: the X. Point, with 2 sliders, 2 boxes, a wall, and 4 kickers.
