Ski area SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental
The 3.5 km long valley descent to Itter awaits fit, well-trained winter sports fans at the Hohe Salve, and experts will really get their money's worth on the almost 2 km long, black pistes at the Hohe Salve gondola. The Salvista descent caters for free-riders, and boarders can let loose at the snow park Söll with tables, kicker, and rails. Westendorf and Ellmau also have snow parks with many challenging features. Real enjoyment is to be had here with 80 places to relax, have a drink and perhaps a bite to eat.
A special attraction in terms of lift comfort is can be found in Hopfgarten: the 6-person chair lift Schernthannbahn offers heated seating, comfortable cushioning, a light blue coloured weather protection guard and automated clamp closure as well as an automated boarding aid. The latter is a lift table which recognises when children want to board. This lift proves that lifts can always get that bit more comfortable and safe.
If you are going on holiday together with your children, or if in fact you yourself have a thing for fairytales, you should definitely check out the new 10-person "discovery"-gondola in SkiWelt Söll. Interesting experiences built around the theme "Hans in Luck" await you!
By upgrading to the "Super Ski Card" lift pass (see Ski Region), you get access to over 2,750 km of piste and 938 lifts in 22 ski regions in Tyrole and Salzburg.
Night skiing Hopfgarten
The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental offers the special experience of night time skiing in the three ski areas Söll, Brixen and Westendorf. The absolute highligh is the SkiWelt Söll, which is the largest night ski area in Austria! 10 km of prepared pistes on altogether 5 pistes are illuminated until night-time. Three times per week, from Wednesday to Saturday, winter sports fans can enjoy night skiing in the area surrounding the Hochsöll gondola, as well as nearby the chair lifts Keat and Hexen6er until 21:30. The fun area "Hans im Glück" at the four person chair lift is also illuminated for night-time shredding. A natural toboggan run at Hochsöll gondola as well as various ski huts round off the offer. Night skiing in Söll has its price: a separate lift pass has to be acquired in order to enjoy the special offers.Furthermore, a 300 m blue night skiing piste can be found at the Schusterbühel lift near Brixen, of which is illuminated until 19:00. The beginner's area at the 4-person chair lift with a 500 m night skiing piste is available for beginners every Tuesday. In Westendorf and Brixen, nighttime skiing is available for a fee.
Après ski Hopfgarten
Alongside unforgettable and eventful days on the piste, Hopfgarten offers numerous alternatives, such as tobogganing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice-skating and curling. On the Angerberg husky ranch you can get an interesting insight into the world of husky sports. Why don't you try out an introductory dog sledding course!Entertainment and cuisine are catered for by the many bars, restaurants and lodges. The "Medium Area" awaits more experienced winter sports fans with boxes, kickers with tables up to 10 m, a down rail and various jib elements. A special highlight is the 450 m long Funny Bird Slope at the Salvenmoos chair lift, of which is split into two lines.
