Ski area Kitzsteinhorn/Maiskogel - Kaprun

With the "Ski Alpin Card" lift pass, you can ski not only on the Kitzsteinhorn and Maiskogel, but also in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Fieberbrunn and on the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See on an incredible 408 kilometres of piste. All under the motto "1 ticket, 3 regions, endless mountains".

With around 61 kilometres, the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area and the Maiskogel family ski area offer mostly blue and red pistes for beginners and leisure skiers. Wide carving pistes and long, sporty descents, such as the 5 km long piste from the Gletscherjet 4 mountain station, make skiers' hearts beat faster. Experts looking for the ultimate adrenaline kick, on the other hand, are in just the right place on the Black Mamba with a decline of up to 63 per cent. From Kaprun, you can reach the glacier with the Gletscherjet and the Panoramabahn or directly from the town centre with the MK Maiskogelbahn and the 3K K-onnection, one of the most modern and energy-efficient cable cars in the world.

The Maiskogel ski area is particularly suitable for families and leisure skiers with a large proportion of wide and blue pistes. At the mountain station of the Almbahn cable car, winter sports enthusiasts will also find the longest descent in the ski region at around 7 km.

As a special service, the ski areas around Zell am See and Kaprun offer free Wi-Fi at various hotspots throughout the ski region. You can easily access the Wi-Fi network and surf the internet, download the latest snow reports or post pictures!

In the neighbouring Schmittenhöhe-Zell am See ski area, you have access to approx. 77 kilometres of piste and around 27 modern lift systems. Experts can try their hand at the 4 km long Trass descent, which is considered the most difficult in the entire ski area and one of the steepest in the whole of Salzburger Land.

Night skiing Kitzsteinhorn/Maiskogel - Kaprun

There is no night skiing in Kaprun itself.

In Zell am See, the neighbouring village of Kaprun, there is the possibility of night skiing on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Night skiing takes place on the 1.5 km floodlit "Nightslope" at the Ebenbergbahn cable car. On days when the piste is open for night skiing in the evening, the Ebenbergbahn closes earlier. The lift is then open again for night skiing from 17:00 to 20:30. A special highlight is the view of the illuminated houses of Zell am See at night. Lift passes valid for several days are also valid on the night skiing dates. Otherwise, tickets for night skiing can also be purchased on site.

Après ski Kitzsteinhorn/Maiskogel - Kaprun

Après ski in Kaprun is varied. Numerous cosy huts and snack stations are a big attraction during the ski day. In the evening, après ski bars, pubs and discos in Kaprun invite you to party. In bars and clubs such as the "Baumbar" or the "Maisi Alm", the night is guaranteed to turn into day.

Numerous other activities such as tobogganing (day & night), cross-country skiing or a visit to the adventure bath with sauna round off the extensive offer. If you want to fly high, you can try a parachute jump, glide over the region in a hang glider or enjoy the view in a glider. A stroll through the pedestrianised zone with its shops and cafés also offers plenty of variety.

Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn/Maiskogel - Kaprun: Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn

A wide range of freestyle options are available in the three ski areas. The first address is the Kitzsteinhorn, as four varied areas await adrenaline junkies and freestyle fans in the Kitzsteinhorn snowpark.

In the "Easy Park", kids and beginners can get their first taste of freestyle and advanced riders can improve their skills. There is a rainbow box, a waves box, a down rail and three kickers, among other things. In the "Central Park" and "South Central Park", pros and advanced riders will have a great time. 9 m barrier, various rails and kickers (5 - 13 m) as well as a knuckle leave nothing to be desired. At the very top, at an altitude of 2,900 metres, there is also the "Glacier Park". In addition to the snowparks, there is also an Eagle Line with obstacles for beginners and experts and, as an absolute highlight, the 150 m long and 6.5 m high SuperPipe - Austria's largest half-pipe.
