Obsteig

On a sunny plateau, just above the Inn Valley, lies Obsteig. The idyllic Alpine village is the most western municipal of the Mieminger Plateau, and is situated very picturesquely in midst of the Tyrolean mountains, surrounded by the nature preserve area Lärchenwiesen. Obsteig has various parts and farms that form the village, which in total makes up 1,300 permanent inhabitants.

The resort and the surrounding area are the perfect backdrop for a fulfilled family holiday. The children's land on the Grünberg and many play areas and hiking trails over the Lärchenwiesen and the Holzleitsattel ensure that there are no boredom arises. An exciting trip into the Middle Ages can be experienced at the Burg Klamm castle, not far from the centre of Obsteig, on a hill. The restored fort has played a few roles in German/Austrian TV productions, such as "Der Bergdoktor", where it is known as "Schloss Sonnenstein".

Obsteig is not only great families, but also for ski touring. The sunny plateau is known to the centre of soft winter tourism and therefore offers great conditions for secure ski tours on the mountains and wonderful deep powder snow descents.

District Imst

The district Imst lies in the federal state of Tyrol. The Oberinn Valley, Ötz Valley and Gurg Valley are some of the most popular holiday regions in this district, which is divided into 24 municipals. Both, in summer and winter, Imst has many outdoor activities to offer for all age groups. With the lift pass "Hoch-Imst", there are 9 km of piste open to explore. Those who need more extensive skiing terrain can venture into the neighbouring areas of the Ötztal, Pitztal Glacier and Zams. Besides skiing and snowboarding, there are further activities in and around Imst to enjoy. Climbers can even get some vertical sports done in winter. Many winter hiking trails provide for some magnificent views of the Tyrolean Alps. Romantic walks, sledge races or ice skating add to the perfect holiday feeling.
