Ski area Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn

With the "Ski Alpin Card" lift pass, starting from October 2019, you can ski along an impressive 408 km of pistes in the lift connection - quite fitting for the motto "one ticket, three regions, never-ending mountains". The Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn and the ski area of Zell am See - Kaprun are planing to merge by the year 2023. Starting from the 2019/2020 winter season, the zellamseeXpress should be able to take skiers and snowboarders from Glemmtal to Zell am See, Kaprun. A ski bus also runs between Viehhofen and Vorderglemm. All this makes for the largest interconnected ski area in Austria.

The ski circus offers numerous beautiful carving slopes, mogul pistes, steep slopes, a racing track with time keeping and two flood-lit pistes. Huge amounts of snow making system cater for guaranteed snow.

If you would like to explore the blue pleasure pistes around Saalbach, including the world cup piste at the Kohlmais, you're recommended to try the Saalbach circuit. On a length of 16 km is surrounds the resort on both sides of the Glemm valley slopes.

Pros can show off their skills on the pistes "Zwölferkogel Nord" and "Schattberg Nord". Wonderful freeride opportunities can be found at the Zwölferkogel West and Schattberg-West, but those are definitely only reserved for true professionals. Free riders will feel comfortable on the funcross trails and down the deeply black and very challenging northern slopes. Freestylers will find a true paradise in the ski circus: you can let of steam in three snowparks and a boardercross slope. In the whole ski circus there are more than 30 Wi-Fi hotspots available.

The connected ski area Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn form a huge, lively ski area and offers numerous diverse pistes surrounded by a wonderful mountain backdrop. Advanced skiers who are looking for something really special will find wildly ramified slopes, mogul pistes, as well as speed trails and snowparks that await to be explored and tested. Here is a great place to start skiing holidays for professionals!

Beginners will also feel welcome in the ski area: a total of 140 km of blue and green pistes provide the perfect opportunity to spend your ski holiday as a beginner. Families with kids will also get their money's worth. Directly the the Asitz gondola's valley station you can find the children's area Leo's Kinderland. The practise area with a magic carpet, children's carousel, snow igloo and a knight's castle is ideally suited for kids that try skiing for the first time. It is not for nothing that Saalbach is one of the most popular ski areas in the Alpes – everyone excited for skiing will find a place for themselves.

If the lift connection still isn't big enough for you, we can recommend you to upgrade your lift pass to the Super Ski Card (see ski region). It is valid for the ski areas Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, Schneewinkel, and Ski Juwel (Alpbachtal and Wildschönau), among others. The lift pass invites you to experience limitless skiing fun in 22 ski regions in Tyrol and Salzburg on over 2,750 kilometres of piste!!

Starting with 19/20 winter season the two ski areas, Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Fieberbrunn and Zell am See/Kaprun are joining to form a new lift pass - Ski Alpin Card - which allows access to a total of 408 km of piste and 119 lifts!

Night skiing Saalbach

There are numerous night ski areas in Austria that illuminate some of their piste after the regular opening hours for skiing at night. Nearby to Saalbach, the ski area Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn also opens some of its pistes on certain days. The approx. 1.2 km night ski piste at Unterschwarzbahn lift in Hinterglemm is open multiple times a week after dark. The local Nightpark on the floodlit piste invited experienced skiers and freestylers to let off steam in the fun park by night. In Leogang at the Schanteilift, an approx. 500 m illuminated piste is available for night skiing. With a valid lift pass, night skiing is for free.

Après ski Saalbach

The colder the temperatures, the hotter the atmosphere! Après ski is the name of the game in Saalbach and Hinterglemm! Already during the day, around numerous rustically cosy huts invite you in to toast to a perfect day's skiing, and are the magnet of après ski. A visit to the "Hinterhagalm" and the "Bauer's Schi-Alm" is compulsory for every après ski fan! Numerous bars and pubs in all style variations continue this in the evening and invite you in to party and flirt. Even the discos have something for every music taste, whether that be rock, pop, rave, techno, foxtrot or a waltz. Those looking for Oktoberfest atmosphere in Winter will find just that at the mountain station of the Asitz lift at 1,763 m in the AsitzBräu. It's not much of a surprise that the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn was already awarded for its large offer of apres ski possibilities.

For anyone who would prefer it a bit cosier, there are numerous restaurants and cafés available. Just ask your host where you can eat the original "Pinzgauer meals". Or take a relaxing stroll through the virtually traffic-free village. Sporting facilities are also numerous: no matter if ice skating, tobogganing, high-speed snow-tubing or romantic rides in horse-drawn sledges, there is something for everyone.

Snowpark: Nightpark Saalbach

In the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn there are four funparks which offer you a lot of variety and promise an adrenalin rush!

In Hinterglemm you can find the "Nightpark", located at the Unterschwarzach lift and close to the resort centre of Hinterglemm, where you can improve your skills during the day, as well as at night. Easy, medium, and pro lines give riders of all levels the opportunity to perfect their tricks. You can let off steam on several obstacles, such as the new gap kicker, a spine, the wall ride, rails like e.g. the 9 m long C-rail and boxes such as e.g. the 22 m long combi box.

Furthermore, there is also an easy park, located in Saalbach at the Bernkogel, which comprises three mini kickers and three beginner boxes that are great for trying your first tricks.

In Leogang, directly at the Asitz, you will find the "Nitro Snowpark Leogang". With its corners, big airs, as well as various rails and boxes, the Nitro Park doesn't leave anything to be desired and also offers an optimal training opportunity for all freestylers. A table with three different jumps arranges for extra fun. In the jib zone, beginners can try their tricks on the easy boxes. A special highlight is free Wi-Fi access which is available in the whole park and enables you to share your success with friends and fans right away. Like this, the ski circus also turns out to be a freestyle circus.

In Fieberbrunn, freestyle beginners will find the "SunPark", an Easy Park nearby the Streuböden middle station which is suitable for everybody. You can look forward to five kickers, two wavey runs and four boxes.
