Ski holidays La Plagne – skiing fit for the gods!

La Plagne

The construction of La Plagne (Eng.: Alpine Meadows) as a ski region first began in 1960, between the Valley Isere and the 3,400 high Dome de Bellecote. Just one year later, the first lifts began working and in the course of the year the artificial villages were created around Plagne Centre. Later the designers rather wanted to create a cosy atmosphere and turned towards the chalet style to create their buildings, and so besides the large concrete living blocks, La Plange also offers quaint apartment complexes now. Today there are various stations, each with a different appearance. This is best observed in the evening in the cosy restaurants, as they begin to serve the local savoury dishes, and in La Plagne Centre where the party scene comes into swing. The ten stations are connected throughout the day until 1:00 am through a complimentary shuttle bus, and occasionally with gondolas. .

The resorts special charm and its diversity make the French resort especially interesting skiers travelling in groups. Everybody who is hungry for party and action will find ideal conditions in La Plange to end the day with the right music and a little alcohol. Numerous bars, discos and the casino give you space to party until the sun goes up. When travelling in groups, the many winter hiking routes are also popular, caring for a sporty après ski experience. Groups and couples can relax in spa facilities which are of course also available in La Plagne.

Paradiski

In the heart of the Savoyard Alps, above the Tarentaise Valley and with views of the Mont Blanc, lies the gigantic “Paradiski” network. With the link to the ski area around the Bellecôte glacier (3,417 m) and the Aiguille Rouge (3,226 m) via the fastest double floored cable car in the world, Vanoise Express, a very impressive ski network has been created, which belongs to the largest and most diverse networks in the world! A great advantage is that the piste is usually in very close proximity to your front door. The charming resorts have been modernised over the years and radiate Savoyard charm with the many chalet style accommodations dotted around. In addition, the resorts have plenty to offer with regards to shops, restaurant, bars and a huge choice of leisure activities, which every winter holiday should have!
