Ski area Bormio
A particularly beautiful run is the 7.2 km long, somewhat remote "Bimbi al sole", while the 2 km long, black "Betulle" piste is a real treat for ski cracks. Another highlight is the longest descent in Bormio, the "Cima Bianca- Bormio", which covers a total of 1787 metres in altitude over 8 km. There are great freeriding opportunities in the "Ortler" and "Cevedale" areas and boarders can have fun in the "Snowpark Bormio" at the middle station. The floodlit "Stelvio" piste is a full 3 kilometres long, but requires some experience. The Cima Piazzi - San Colombano ski area consists mainly of intermediate and easy pistes, while in Santa Caterina, the home territory of Olympic and world champion Deborah Compagnoni, it is mainly red and black descent that offer some challenges for experts.
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.5 per mille or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Anyone who does not comply with the helmet requirement will be fined or banned from the slopes.

With its two different lines, the "Snowpark Bormio - The Jungle" has something to offer for every riding level. The easy line, which features various fun boxes as well as a jump line with four consecutive jumps, proves to be perfect terrain for beginners. Advanced riders and pros, on the other hand, will feel right at home on the Medium Line. Various obstacles, starting with a "Pole Jam", "Half Funtube", "Mushroom", "Funtube", "Mailbox" and an "Industrial Rail" as well as a jump line and three "Snow Waves", are available here.
