The "Val di Fassa-Carezza" ski pass includes almost 110 kilometres of piste and 54 lifts between 1,182 and 2,485 metres above sea level in the areas of Alba, Canazei, Campitello, Carezza, Pozza di Fassa and Vigo di Fassa.

From Canazei, you have direct access to the Belvedere/Col Rodella ski areas with 32 kilometres of piste as well as fun and snowparks with boardercross. In the Kinderland, experts can take their first steps on skis and are well looked after in the nearby kindergarten. The mostly medium-difficulty pistes are easy to master and invite you to enjoy skiing on sun-kissed slopes. Numerous sun terraces along the pistes invite you to relax and sunbathe!
For those in good shape, the 6.8 km descent from Sass Becé to Canazei is recommended, while freeriders will find great deep snow areas on Sass Pordoi.

With the Dolomiti Superski ski pass (for an extra charge), you can even use 1,200 km of pistes and 450 lifts in 12 ski areas! This also includes the Sellaronda, the 40 km long one-day circuit of the Sella massif on skis and lifts, which you can access directly from Canazei.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

There are some ski areas in Italy that light up their pistes in the evening, inviting you to ski by floodlight. One of these night skiing areas is Val di Fassa-Carezza, where the 1.6 km long Aloch piste in the Pozza di Fassa ski stadium is floodlit two evenings a week for night skiing. Numerous ski and snowboard races have already been held on this challenging piste. It is therefore more suitable for experts, even in the dark. With a valid multi-day ski pass (Val di Fassa-Carezza, Dolomiti Super Ski or Valle Silver), night skiing is free of charge. Otherwise, the night ski pass can be purchased on site.

The "Val di Fassa-Carezza" ski area is a true paradise for freestylers. You have the choice between three fun parks. The Dolomiti Park is located in the centre of the Belvedere ski area. Various kicker lines - for beginners, advanced and pros - are available here, as well as a jibbing area with boxes, rails and corners, a slopestyle course and a big airbag.

From Pozza, for example, you can quickly reach the Buffaure Park. It is located on the Pozza-Buffare cable car and offers a unique view of the Catinaccio group. Freestylers can let off steam here on various boxes, rails, tanks, kickers and a wallride.

In Carezza, Welschnofen's local ski area, the Carreza snowpark can be reached quickly using the modern lifts. A "bouncy castle for free spirits" awaits on the Tschein piste with a total of three lines: the Family Fun Line for beginners, the Easy Line for advanced riders and the Medium Line for pros. The latter is not only peppered with metre-high kickers, but also has a 9-metre-long steel tube - a DFD tank - for sliding that is unrivalled in South Tyrol!
