Information on cross-country skiing

150 km Cross-country trails (in km):

Val di Fiemme, also known as the "cradle of cross-country skiing", is a true paradise for all cross-country skiing enthusiasts. It was not for nothing that it hosted the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991, 2003 and 2013. The traditional Marcialonga race has also been held here since 1971, an international cross-country skiing race that runs over 70 kilometres through Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa. Val di Fiemme has a total of 150 kilometres of cross-country ski trails and offers a varied network of trails for beginners and advanced skiers alike.

The high altitude cross-country ski trails on the Lavazè Pass are a special experience. They run at an altitude of up to 2,150 metres through the stunning mountain scenery and vary in difficulty. At Cavalese, the cross-country trails lead directly past the Alpe Cermis valley station, making it easy to start your cross-country skiing adventure here. From here, there is a connection to the legendary Marcialonga, which runs through the entire Val di Fiemme and is one of the longest snow-covered cross-country trails in the world. It can be travelled in both classic-style and skating-style.
