Ski area Solda

The ski area in the close-by Sulden (ital. Solda) offers snow security through from November to May. 44 diverse piste kilometres are ready to be explored at the glacier, there's something to be found for everyone. 13 lifts are available to get you up the mountain, among them one of the biggest aerial cable cars of the Alps: 4 gondolas carry 110 persons each. A new addition is the 10-person gondola Rosim-Bahn, which takes you directly to the ski area Kanzel. The area is particularly suitable for pros. The now accessible panorama piste measures 2,5 km and crosses 550 m altitude difference down to the valley station.

Beginners will have the best time at the practice lifts at the valley station and on the sun slope. Pros will love the pistes at the Kanzel and the Langenstein. Even the freestyle offer is nothing to be ashamed off: next to the fun park at the Madritsch hut, there is a permanent boardercross run and a half pipe. Freerider can enjoy great deep powder snow opportunities at the Schöntaufspitze.

The ski bus takes you from Prato allo Stelvio directly to Sulden and to other areas in the region. The pistes of the ski areas Trafoi as well as the family ski areas Watles, Schöneben and Haideralm are not far away.

The Stilfserjoch actually has a ski area as well - but it is only open in the summer! There, the ski national teams have their training area on the 30 km of piste on 3,150 to 3,450 m altitude.

With the lift pass "Skiarena Vinschgau", you have access to a total of 133 km of piste and 39 lifts in 5 ski areas: Sulden, Schöneben, Haideralm, Watles and Trafoi. (s. ski region)

Night skiing Prato allo Stelvio

In beautiful Southern Tyrol, at Stilfserhoch, you can extend your skiing day. The nearby ski area Sulden offers night skiing once per week. You can indulge in night skiing on 2.5 km piste that are illuminated for night skiers. The conveyor belt is also open and illuminated so that nobody has to walk up the mountain by themselves. When it comes to the culinary aspects, the mountain huts along the piste are also open for night skiing. With the lift pass Sulden you can go night skiing for free.

Après ski Prato allo Stelvio

Aprés ski locations can be found very close to the ski areas. In Sulden, for instance, people get together at the Skialm at the valley, in Café Ilse or in the Après Club at the end of a day's skiing. In Prad itself, things are a bit more quiet though. Here, you can enjoy the typical Vinschgau cuisine in one of the restaurants.

If you prefer to stay active after dawn, there are several hikes through the beautiful surroundings to be had, e.g. to the Fischerseen Lakes or the Suldenbach stream as well as Reschensee Lake with its sunken church tower. The frozen lake attracts snow kiters, ice sailors, ice skaters and speed skaters alike. A further ice rink can be found in the "Sportzone Prad".

A 900 m long toboggan run by the St. Johann church is great fun for the little ones. And if you like to explore nature, the National Park Stilfserjoch waits up with the visitor centre "aquaprad".

Snowpark: Funpark Sulden Prato allo Stelvio

The snowpark in the ski area Sulden attracts freestyle fans with various boxes, rails and kickers. Moreover, there is a permanent boarder cross run in the free-ski area near the Madritsch hut.
