Ski area Grimentz - Zinal

With the "Val d'Anniviers" ski pass, you have access to 195 kilometres of piste and 15 km of ski routes of all levels of difficulty as well as a total of 46 lifts in the 3 ski areas of Grimentz - Zinal, Vercorin and Saint Luc - Chandolin (see ski region). At an altitude of 1,340 to 3,026 metres, winter sports enthusiasts will find a wide range of adventures in the best snow conditions. From ski tours and numerous off-piste options to the ultimate adrenaline rush of heli-skiing, everything is on offer.

The "Grimentz - Zinal" ski area stretches from 1,570 metres to 2,900 metres above sea level. The two ski areas have only been connected by a 3 km long cable car, the third longest in Switzerland, since the beginning of 2014. Since then, winter sports enthusiasts with the "Grimentz - Zinal" lift pass have 21 lifts and 115 km of perfectly groomed ski slopes at their disposal. These are divided fairly evenly between the different levels of difficulty, so there is the right piste for every winter sports enthusiast.

The "Gardes de Bordon" off-piste area is particularly suitable for experienced freeriders, who can enjoy an incredible 100 hectares of untouched powder snow. Vast natural landscapes and steep slopes provide the ultimate thrill and can be skied indefinitely up to avalanche danger level 3.

The "Grimentz - Zinal" ski area also caters for younger skiers: a children's ski slope with a wide variety of obstacles and stations makes the first attempts at skiing a fun experience.

Après ski Grimentz - Zinal

A detour to a cosy bar is always worthwhile in Zinal. The wine bar "Bar e Vox" and the "Franky'z Pub" are particularly suitable for this. Beer lovers in particular will get their money's worth at the "Le Besso" restaurant, which offers a large selection of beers. If you want to jump straight from the piste onto the dance floor, you can dance to live music in "La Ferme" or in the "Chez Florioz" bar in the neighbouring village of Grimentz.

Snowshoe hiking is a great alternative or addition to skiing. From easy hikes to challenging hikes - the choice is wide and varied. A special highlight is a visit to the Zinal Glacier. It has several natural cavities and can therefore be entered.

The frozen waterfalls of the Val d'Anniviers are another impressive natural spectacle - a true paradise for ice climbing enthusiasts. The "Cascade du Belvédère" is located directly in Zinal, which is also illuminated at night and can therefore be climbed late at night.

Another recommended leisure activity is ice skating on the natural ice rink in Zinal. Entry is free and the rink is floodlit until 9 pm. There is also an occasional ice disco.
