Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
In order to ensure safety on the ski pistes in Italy, new safety regulations will come into force from 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.Night skiing Folgarida
Like in the other alpine countries, Italy has ski areas with illuminated pistes for skiing by night time. One of these night ski areas is the Folgarida-Marilleva ski area where you can choose from 2 night skiing pistes. In Folgarida, the "Stadio Slalom" slope os available for night skiing every Tuesday from 16:30 to 19:00. If you want to enjoy night skiing later in the evening, you can do so in Marilleva every Thursday from 21:00 to 23:00 on the "Biancaneve" night skiing piste. Nights skiers are also recommended to visit the nearby Pejo ski area, where you can also go night skiing every Monday and Thursday from 20:45 to 22:45 on the "Mezoli" night skiing piste. With a valid lift pass for the ski area night skiing is possible for free. Those who do not have a lift pass can purchase evening tickets for night skiing in resort.Après ski Folgarida
Folgarida and Marilleva are charming and rather dreamy ski resorts. Activities after skiing include an ice rink, a tennis hall or the ice sports stadium in Folgarida and in Mazzana. Visits to the slightly larger resort Malé or to the world-famous Madonna die Campiglio are also receommendable. The ski metropolis is approx. 13 km away and can be reached on skis or by car.Snowpark: Snowpark Alternative Park Folgarida
The "Folgarida-Marilleva" ski area has two snowparks. In the Marilleva area you will find the "Alternative Snowpark" right next to the mountain hut "Malba Panciana". Like in almost every Italian ski area, the popular place for all freestylers was created with a lot of love for details. The 6-person gondola Malga Copai-Panciane comfortably takes you to the areal which is completely separated by nets.
A total area of 300 m² bristling with all types of obstacles is a special experience especially for more experiendes freestylers. You can choose from various boxes and rails, as well as kickers and a quarter pipe. Even though the park was only built recently it is already a location for competitions and festivals. You surely won't get bored here!
Freestyler beginners can pick up their first tricks in the "Malghet Haut" snowpark in Folgarida. Above the "Bamby" chairlift's mountain stations you will find small boxes, rails as well as two kickers.
